Pondering the application of the message to the Church at Thyatira and how it rings true to the “church” today in many ways.

Revelation 2:19-20 - "I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first. 20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants…
• With God it’s either/or – either repent and be forgiven or be rebellious and face judgment

• With “Prophetess Jezebel” it’s both/and – “you can be a follower of Christ and do whatever you want, whatever feels good to you…after all who am I to judge?”

• Jesus slams the church for tolerating false teaching by “so-called spiritual leaders” That’s the issue.

• The church isn’t at war with non-Christians, it’s at war with the deceiver.

“God, please help me as I follow you to have love and faith and service and perseverance and keep living and loving in your Name but Lord, help me to know the truth that comes loud and clear in your Word and hold tightly to it every day not a leader, a President, a King, a Court or anything other than You Alone.”
